One thing that separates Great Lakes Contractors from many other Chicago
remodeling contractors is that we don’t sub work out. No work is subcontracted out.
This prevents some of the delays and mixups that can come with multiple
subcontractors crossing paths, and it provides a sense of teamwork and order that
often makes a project move smoother and get done faster. All the staff are licensed
as required. This includes the staff electricians and plumbers.

ABOUT US
|
Jaime Lopez has worked in the Home Improvement business for the last 20 years,
he started as a union apprentice and moved up to journeyman.
|

|
Back in 1991 he decided to start his own company and has since completed a
few hundred home projects.
|
|
|
|
His vision is to deliver quality work at a affordable price, all the basements we have finished have been
done in two and a half weeks, and smaller projects in four days.

ABOVE OTHERS
- At the beginning of every project Carpet Tape is installed over any carpeted areas that our workers must walk over during the project.
This helps protect your carpet from dirt and dust.
- A detailed schedule is provided so customers know project timelines and which workers are
coming daily to work on the project.
- A list of Vendors is provided to the customer at the beginning of the project which indicates who and where
to choose materials such as plumbing fixtures, tile, carpeting, etc.
- Invoices for payments 1 - 4 are provided to the customer at the beginning of the project which correlate
with the payment dates on the schedule.
- Generous allowances for plumbing fixtures are included in your proposal so you can choose
higher grade fixtures.
- Generous cabinet and countertop allowances are included in those proposals with wet bars. This gives the
customer a more realistic idea of cost of their project.
- Prices are very detailed in the proposal so you know exactly what you are getting from Great Lakes Home Improvement.
Also customers know exact pricing if they wish to add extras which are recorded on a change order.
- Change orders are utilized throughout the project to keep track of customer changes and
requests throughout the project.
